A Two-Day Layover in Saint Tropez
We flew over the snowy mountains, in a private jet owned by one of my clients. It was almost sunset, and the sun grazed over the snowy white peaks. It was a sight to behold. It wasn’t long before we landed at the coast of Saint Tropez, overlooking the Côte d'Azur. Here I was, at the notorious southern French village, ready for a moment with a selection of my clients for a Mr Blue networking and customer service occasion.
The process during such an event is simple: in about 30 minutes, I'm able to make a physical and mental scan of my current and future clients. This mental scan is the constant start of a perfectly tailored suit. Measurements are important, but realizing that someone has a certain flaw, the right suit can hide or compensate that; perfect in style, perfectly crafted, perfectly cut, and hiding every possible physical flaw.

Once measurements have been taken, I go into the details, discussing different options like colors and fabric, lining and buttons. At the event, we had a wide variety of fabrics available – even the rarest. This is Saint-Tropez, not to forget!
One very important step in the process is to understand who your client is and what suits him. It’s like Ford said: if I asked people what they wanted, they would’ve wished for better horses. What follows is drinks, conversation and even bringing my network together to cross-pollinate. Eventually, you get a networking night that for me evolves my relationship with the client, but also helps them extend their inner circle.
